“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good tidings to the afflicted;
he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound”
Isaiah 6:1

Our Approach

True Freedom is fulfilling the Great Commission as the resurrected Jesus Christ instructed the disciples. By sharing the Gospel message of salvation and Christ’s unconditional love with the most broken people in our society, we seek to impact change in hearts and souls of those incarcerated, those struggling with addiction and those who are homeless to accept Christ as their Savior and transform their lives to become loving and productive citizens for themselves, their families and their communities.

True Freedom Ministries, in partnership with correctional facilities and private organizations, applies a multi-faceted approach to Prison Ministry incorporating evangelism, discipleship and mentorship with pre-release education and post-release programming.   This approach creates a climate based upon faith, positive values and accountability, and provides the tools to equip prisoners and ex-offenders with behavioral skills, job training and experience for successful reintegration into their communities.

“True Freedom Ministries came into my hopeless world I was trapped in, saying ‘Over here…this way’.  They led me back to Christ, and Christ has opened the door.”

The True Freedom Addiction Recovery Ministry holds weekly meetings at our office in Cleveland. Our program utilizes the Christ-centered curriculums and allows us to establish relationships with people struggling to break their addictive behaviors.  This program also serves as the centerpiece of our Prison Ministry Re-Entry Program as we recognize a majority of former prisoners and ex-offenders have struggled or continue to struggle with addiction.

True Freedom Homeless Ministry has been active in the inner city of Cleveland since 1994 serving meals to the homeless every Saturday evening without missing a single week.  We partner with local churches and organizations to prepare the meals and serve them to the homeless at several locations in downtown Cleveland.   The main goal when we come on the streets is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The meals we provide are a way of drawing people who have a hunger for spiritual needs but haven’t realized it yet.
